According to local media reports, residents of some districts of Rostov-on-Don, Bataysk and Novocherkassk are facing problems.
Various areas of Russian Rostov-on-Don, almost all of Bataysk, Morozovsk, Belaya Kalitva, part of Gukovo and Novocherkassk are without electricity. Local media reported this on Saturday, January 13.
At the same time, electricity, water and heating were lost for residents of the city and surrounding areas. What makes the situation more acute is that the air temperature outside has dropped to -20.
“The Donenergo company said that Rosset has introduced a schedule for the temporary limitation of electricity supply in the Rostov region. At the same time, they do not give a single deadline for the resumption of electricity supply in the region,” wrote local website.

At the same time, local authorities report an accident and promise to restore electricity.
Let’s remember that at the end of December 2023, the Cabinet of Ministers lifted the moratorium on March 24, 2022 on disconnecting consumers of housing and community services in case of debt.
The moratorium continues to apply only to territories where hostilities continue or are under temporary occupation. In other areas, in the event of malicious non-payment of fees, consumers will again be charged fines and penalties.
As you know, from June 1 last year, the Cabinet of Ministers increased electricity tariffs for the population to 2.64 UAH/kWh. And on June 30, the price of electricity for business increased significantly in Ukraine.
In 2024, the electricity tariff for the population of Ukraine may increase by 15% – up to 3 hryvnias per kilowatt-hour.
