On the night of Saturday, January 13, Russian planes launched cruise missiles at Ukraine from the Caspian Sea. This was reported by the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“Kh-101/555/55 type missiles were launched from 6Tu-95MS. The estimated time for the missiles to enter the Ukrainian airspace is 06.00 – 07.00,” the message said.
Monitoring groups reported that five more Tu-22M3 aircraft were likely headed for launch from Shaikovka and Olenya.
An air raid alert was declared over most of Ukraine.

It was previously reported that the Russians have raised up to 11 Tu-95ms launch vehicles into the sky. Later, monitoring groups reported that two more planes took off from Engels airfield.
That same night, the Russians launched ballistic missiles from Crimea. Explosions occurred on the Dnieper.
