On January 12, US Special Representative for Economic Recovery of Ukraine Penny Pritzker and representatives of US private businesses arrived in Kyiv. This was reported by the US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink and Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal.
“We hope for the participation of private companies from the United States in the restoration of Ukraine. We discussed investment opportunities and the development of public-private partnerships,” said Shmygal.
The parties also discussed the strengthening of the Ukrainian economy, cooperation with the United States to strengthen export opportunities, as well as the main needs of Ukraine this year.
It was previously reported that the United States and the EU will help Ukraine’s renewal plan.
We remind you that the UN, the Ukrainian government, the World Bank and the EU have jointly calculated how much money will be needed to restore the country after the war with Russia. According to Assistant UN Secretary General Miroslav Enci, the cost of rebuilding Ukraine is tentatively estimated at more than $400 billion.
