The department reported that while the first model is equipped with curved armor plates, the second one is equipped with damper pads that help adjust the body armor to the body.
The body armor is also equipped with an additional bag with a soft ballistic package.
The protective properties of the bulletproof vest are similar to men’s models. Model weight from 10.5 kg depending on configuration.
It was tested for three months in two stages: first for ease of wearing by female soldiers, then ballistic tests were carried out.
The Ministry of Defense noted that both women’s body armor are already available for purchase by the army. A request from the General Staff for a certain amount of such protection is expected.
Currently, more than 40 thousand women serve in the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
