After the government’s mobilization bill was introduced, heated discussions and debates erupted in parliament.
The Cabinet of Ministers met unscheduled on January 11 and withdrew bill No. 10378 on improving mobilization, military registration and military service. Ukrainskaya Pravda writes about this with reference to government sources.
“Any developer can withdraw (the bill) before the (parliamentary) committee makes a decision. Since the developer is the government, the government will withdraw it,” said the UP interlocutor.
Another source later reported that the Cabinet of Ministers made the corresponding decision: “They warned about it. They will finalize it and we will reschedule it.”
As you know, after the government bill on mobilization was introduced, heated discussions and disputes arose in the Verkhovna Rada. After meeting with the military leadership on January 11, the head of the Servant of the People group, David Arahamia, announced that the Rada was returning the motion to mobilize the government for revision.
Parliament Speaker Roman Stefanchuk said the decision to return the bill to the Cabinet of Ministers for revision was a general one. We are talking about the common position of parliament, government leadership and the military.
