To collect information, the attacker independently traveled around populated areas in the areas of Kurakhovo, Mirnograd, Selidovoye, Novogrodovka and Mikhailovka. The agent could travel up to 100 km by public transport near the front line in a day. The traitor was exposed in time and detained. This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine.
The spy turned out to be a 33-year-old resident of Novogrodovka, who was remotely recruited by the FSB in October 2023. To communicate with enemies, she used an anonymous chat in the messenger, and transmitted information in the form of text messages and marks on electronic maps. The occupiers responded by sending funds to a bank card.
The enemy used the resulting information for rocket and artillery attacks on Ukrainian Armed Forces positions on the eastern front.
The detainee has already been informed of the suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 111 (high treason committed under martial law) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. She is given custody and the perpetrator faces life imprisonment.
Let us remind you that in Zaporozhye the SBU detained a lieutenant colonel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, who was looking in the area for the location of air defense positions and the location of the personnel and equipment of the Defense Forces.
