The press service of Kharkovoblenergo reported this today, January 9.
The following incidents are noted to have occurred:
- Yesterday, January 8, a brigade of electricians came under fire in the village of Veseloye. Repairmen went out to restore power supply after the shelling, when shells were exploding all around;
- Today, during an inspection of a high-voltage line damaged after a night shelling in the village of Slobozhanskoye, Lipetsk community, an explosion occurred – a guided bomb exploded 200 meters from the place where the electricians were located.
Fortunately, as a result of these two incidents, none of the workers were injured, but there is damage to our networks,” said Roman Gangan, leading engineer of the Lipetsk Distribution Zone of Kharkovoblenergo JSC.
He emphasized that it is impossible to foresee enemy shelling, so power engineers show courage while performing their duties in extreme conditions.
