The number of victims of the attack on Kyiv and Kharkov carried out by enemy forces on January 2 has increased. This was announced on the morning of Monday, January 8, by the mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko and the head of the Kharkov Regional Police Department that Oleg Sinegubov.
“Unfortunately, one of the injured as a result of the Kharkov shooting, which took place on January 2, died in the hospital at night – a 56-year-old man; he was in serious condition for a long time ,” Sinegubov said in a statement.
Another person injured in a rocket attack in Kyiv died the same day.
“This is the third victim in a house damaged by an attack in Solomensky district. In total, today there are 22 people in hospitals in Kiev medical institutions from those who were hospitalized on December 29 and January 2. One of them is in serious condition,” said the capital’s mayor, Vitaliy Klitschko.
We remind you that on the night and morning of January 2, the Russian army launched missiles into Ukraine. Kyiv and Kharkov came under widespread attack, and explosions were heard in other regions. In Kharkov, one person died, 62 people were injured, six of them were children. On January 4, an 84-year-old woman died in the hospital.
On the morning of January 3, two people died and 50 were injured as a result of the attack in Kyiv; the number of victims later rose to 54.
