If Putin feels he has achieved results in Ukraine, another country will follow his sights, Petraeus said.
If Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin considers his invasion of Ukraine a success, he will send troops to Europe. The former head of the US Central Intelligence Agency, David Petraeus, said this on Sunday, January 7, in an interview with CNN.
He noted that the United States of America should help Ukraine survive the war with the enemy and provide the necessary funds and other military assistance for it.
“Many billions are needed to help Ukraine, but such spending is absolutely necessary because it will prevent the victory of Putin and his inevitable transfer of war to Europe,” Petraeus said.
He emphasized that if he wins, Putin does not want to stop in Ukraine.
“If Putin believes that he has achieved significant results for him in Ukraine, he will not stop. “Moldova, or perhaps one of the Baltic states, will follow his sights,” said Petraeus.
