The Crimean defense system is in emergency reformatting mode, Natalya Gumenyuk said.
The defeat of the command post of the Russian aggressors in the Crimea near Sevastopol had a significant impact on the entire defense system of the peninsula. This is what the head of the joint press center of the Operational Command said Pivden Natalya Gumenyuk on the air of the telethon on Saturday, January 6.
“The defeat of the command post of the Russian occupation forces near Sevastopol has a major impact on the peninsula’s defense system. It is in emergency reformatting mode,” he said.
According to Gumenyuk, the blow affected the moral and psychological state of the occupying troops.
“We observe this from radio intercepts and from general developments in combat events. We see the replacement of units,” he added.
Gumenyuk also commented on data on social networks that the affected control center near Sevastopol is responsible for a secure communication channel with the command in Moscow. He did not rule it out and called the purpose of the strike to cut off communication with the Russians in the southern direction.
“But the goal is precisely this: to remove the southern direction, in particular, of control. And communications are the roots of a military operation, so let them be nervous,” said Gumenyuk.
We remind you that on January 4 it became known that a Russian command post was hit near Sevastopol. Serious damage was also caused to the defense system of the Crimean occupiers.
