Ukraine is intensifying contact with the new Polish government to resolve problematic bilateral issues. Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba announced this on Friday, January 5, live on his Instagram page.
The Foreign Minister admitted that relations with neighboring Poland are “complicated.”
At the same time, Kuleba said that on December 22, his Polish colleague Radoslaw Sikorski arrived in Kyiv. He delivered some signals from the new state government and expressed his view on solving the problematic issues.
“We saw the desire to solve the problems, now they have to be solved. And then there will be contacts with the new Polish government at all levels – I won’t say the details right now, but those are already planned this. We will look for solutions,” said the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.
He added that the success of Ukraine is “an important interest of Poland and also a matter of Poland’s safety,” and that is why the countries have to solve the problems.
