An American schoolboy has become the first person in history to complete the final level of the iconic video game Tetris. The New York Times reported it.
13-year-old Willis Gibson from Oklahoma reached level 157 of the game and scored 999,999 points, reaching the point where the game froze due to a lack of subsequent programming code.
It has been noted that the man has become one of the strongest Tetris players in the country, since he started playing just two years ago, using the newly popular technique of manipulating the NES controller, known as “rolling”.
He dedicated his success to his late father Adam, who died last month.
Previously, the game, popular on the Nintendo Entertainment System and Game Boy, was only played by bots equipped with artificial intelligence. Humans can only reach level 29.
