Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine detained in Kyiv the founder of “one of the largest agricultural holdings in Ukraine,” suspected of supplying food products to the Russian military in the Kherson region.

According to the SBU, the food company controlled by the owner is located on the temporarily occupied left bank of the Kherson region and works in favor of Russia.
In particular, this company is one of the main suppliers of food products for Russian troops located in southern Ukraine, the SBU said in a statement.
The SBU adds that the businessman also handed over to the Russian troops the warehouse premises of the enterprise’s production complex in the temporarily occupied Kakhovsky district of the Kherson region.
SBU officers detained the defendant in his son’s apartment in Kyiv, where he was hiding and planning to escape to Russia.
According to the investigation, the food company controlled by the defendant is located on the temporarily occupied left bank of Kherson and works in the interests of Russia. This company is one of the main suppliers of food products to Russian troops stationed in southern Ukraine.
To do this, in May 2022, the entrepreneur organized the “re-registration” of the agricultural company in the occupation “Department of the Federal Tax Service of Russia for the Kherson Region.”
Since then, the defendant’s enterprise has been paying more than 100 thousand Russian rubles as “taxes” to the budget of the local occupation administration of Russia every month.
