We would like to make decisions at the state level so that these schools for Russian national minorities begin to disappear, because we understand that their children grow up separated and it is more difficult for them to integrate in Lithuania,” said Minister Gintautas Jakstas for the lrt.lt portal.
On Christmas Eve, two teenagers who study at a Russian-language school in the Vilnius region began shooting at their classmate with pneumatic guns during a walk because he did not support Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
According to the victim’s mother, her son was shot with plastic balls from an AK-74M pneumatic gun. During this, the shooters also played the PPK Wagner anthem. The incident is being investigated by the police.
According to the Lithuanian minister, “everyone will be better off if there are no more schools for Russian minorities in the future.”
