Ukraine is bracing for another Russian offensive near Kharkov as the occupiers step up their bombing of the city and region. The possible start date for the offensive is January 15. The Telegraph writes about it, citing a source close to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The previous day, the Russians had launched strikes on Kharkov and 15 surrounding settlements. The targets included both civilian buildings and military positions, seen in preparation for a large-scale offensive in the coming weeks.
Citing sources, the publication wrote that Russian troops may be planning to further intensify air strikes this weekend. A ground offensive could take place soon, with January 15 considered as a possible start date, the source added.
Let’s recall that earlier the commander of the Ground Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Alexander Syrsky, reported that the Russians are continuing intensive offensive operations in the direction of Kupyansky and regrouping in the direction of Limansky.
In the past 24 hours, in the direction of Kupyansk, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled four Russian attacks near Sinkovka and east of Petropavlovka, Kharkov region.
