More than 80 dead and more than 200 wounded are the victims of the Islamic State group.
The extremist group Islamic State claimed responsibility for an attack in Iran that killed dozens of people on Wednesday, January 3, Bloomberg reported, citing an IS statement.
“A terrorist group is behind the explosions at the tomb of Iranian commander Qassem Soleimani,” the publication reported, citing a statement on the group’s Telegram channel.
Tehran said at least 84 people were killed in the attack and another 220 were wounded.
Iran said the bombings were in retaliation for its stance against Israel’s incursion into Gaza, but US officials said they were not involved in the attack.
