A Russian fighter-bomber caught fire at an airport in Chelyabinsk. The Main Intelligence Directorate was involved in the destruction of the plane.
The Russian Su-34 fighter-bomber caught fire on the night of January 4 at the Shagol airfield in Chelyabinsk. Behind the successful operation was the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to its sources in the intelligence services.
“On the night of January 4, a Su-34 fighter-bomber caught fire at the Shagol airfield in Russian Chelyabinsk. This was an operation of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine – ed.,” the message said.
Shagol is a military airport near the Russian city of Chelyabinsk.
The 108th training air regiment of the Chelyabinsk Aviation School and the 2nd mixed air regiment of the 21st mixed air division of the Russian Aerospace Forces are based at the airfield.
As we already wrote, on December 22, Ukrainian defenders destroyed three Russian Su-34 fighter-bombers in the south of the country.
