If Chechen law enforcement officers cannot find the criminal who committed the murder, they will have to kill his father or brother.
The Chechen security forces, if they cannot find the criminals who committed the murder, must kill their relatives. This was said by the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, at a meeting with employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and National Guard of the republic. The corresponding video with Kadyrov’s statement was published on the 1ADAT Telegram channel.
Kadyrov explained this method of local traditions, which include “blood feud.”
“Anyone who violates public order or touches a policeman or a guest of the republic, even if we can’t find them, we won’t look for them. We will find his loved ones. Even before, it has been like this with us: if the culprit is not found, revenge is announced on his brother, his father,” he said.
Kadyrov called it unacceptable that the relatives of a person who committed murder simply disown him and do not take responsibility.
“There is no denying a relative that works until we kill someone from their family and take away the right of blood feud,” Kadyrov said.
On his Telegram channel, the leader of Chechnya confirmed that he raised this issue at the meeting, noting that “any attempt to make an attack on a person’s life will also affect the relatives of the perpetrator.”
Earlier it was reported that in Chechnya, Kadyrov’s 18-year-old son became the first deputy minister. Before this, Nikita Zhuravel, who was arrested for burning the Koran in Russian Volgograd, announced that he was beaten in a pre-trial detention center in Grozny by the 15-year-old son of Chechen leader Adam Kadyrov.
