Hezbollah’s leader said they would not follow “any policy” in the conflict if Israel went to war against Lebanon.
The Lebanese group Hezbollah says it does not fear a possible war with Israel and will not restrain itself in its methods if it starts. This statement was made by Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah on Wednesday, January 3, reports The Times of Israel.
He said Hezbollah’s attack on Israel, which began on October 8, prevented a wider Israeli bombing campaign in Gaza. Nasrallah also warned that Hezbollah would not follow “any rules” in the conflict if Israel went to war against Lebanon.
He made this statement in the context of the drone killing of Hamas deputy leader Saleh al-Arouri in the Lebanese capital Beirut.
Israel has neither confirmed nor denied its involvement in the killing, but IDF spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said Israeli troops were on high alert and prepared for any scenario.
Nasrallah accused Israel of complicity in this killing and called it “a huge, dangerous crime in which we cannot remain silent.”
Let’s remember that after the Hamas attack on Israel, the Lebanese Hezbollah announced that it was ready to join the Hamas group in the war against Israel.
A few days later, the IDF launched strikes against Hezbollah targets along the Lebanese border. The attack was a response to the shelling on Wednesday, October 17.
