Poland’s prime minister plans to investigate why Polish farmers will strike again at the Ukrainian border on January 4.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has promised to try to convince Polish carriers to free up the border with Ukraine. He said this in a press conference on Wednesday, January 3.
The head of the Polish government asked the Polish Minister of Infrastructure Dariusz Klimczak to show him the prospects for solving the border blockade issue.
He also wanted to examine why Polish farmers tomorrow, January 4, will strike again at one of the Ukrainian border checkpoints, despite agreements with Polish Minister of Agriculture Czeslaw Sekierski to suspend the blockade .
“I want to know why the trust (between the minister and farmers – ed.) is so short,” said Tusk.
According to him, blocking the border of carriers and farmers does not help the Polish government to solve problems in the context of the Russian missile attack on Ukraine.
The head of government suggested that by stopping the border blockade, Poland’s arguments would be heard more in Ukraine and the EU.
As you know, the Polish truckers, after a short break, resumed blocking the checkpoint in Doroguska.
