The West must respond to Russia’s attack “in a language that Putin understands,” the Polish minister stressed.
The world should tighten sanctions against Russia and provide Ukraine with long-range missiles after Russia’s massive attack on Ukraine on January 2. About that stated Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski on social network X on Wednesday, January 3.
“We must respond to the latest attack on Ukraine in a language that Putin (Russian President Vladimir Putin – ed.) understands,” he wrote.
The Polish minister called for strengthening sanctions against Russia to prevent Moscow from “creating new weapons from smuggled components,” as well as providing Kyiv with long-range missiles that would allow Ukraine to destroy the launch sites and command centers of Russia.
Let’s recall that on the morning of January 2, Russian troops fired 99 missiles of various types and 35 kamikaze drones into Ukraine. Air defense forces managed to destroy 72 missiles and all drones. Because of the shooting, five people died and more than 100 were injured.
