In Kyiv, a businessman was exposed for the sale of “humanitarian” cars

The man, taking advantage of the introduction of martial law, tried to sell vehicles intended for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

A businessman is confined to the capital, selling SUVs designed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine and imported into Ukraine as humanitarian aid. This was announced on June 16 by the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office.

According to law enforcement officials, the man, taking advantage of the introduction of martial law in the country, tried to sell vehicles imported into the territory of Ukraine as humanitarian aid for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (part 3 of article 201-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)

According to the materials of the investigation, the owner of the service station, which has two cars of Polish registration, which, in accordance with the Declaration on the list of goods recognized as humanitarian aid, was imported into Ukraine for the purpose further moving for the needs of one of the military units, arranged their sale.

So, on June 2, after the buyer inspected the vehicles, the man received a deposit in the amount of $ 400. Later, after repairing the vehicles and receiving the second portion of the funds in the amount of $ 6,100, the man was arrested.

Currently, the issue of reporting suspicion and choosing a measure of detention is being resolved.

Earlier, the SBU exposed a scheme for the theft of humanitarian aid in the Lviv region. During the searches, law enforcement officers found approximately three thousand body armor worth 25 million hryvnia.
