An enemy target in the Donetsk direction was discovered by operators of the 3rd separate MTR regiment during reconnaissance. On one of the front sectors there was an enemy Buk-M2 anti-aircraft missile system and a 9S36 detection and target designation station, part of the air defense system. The command of the Special Operations Forces announced this on Facebook on January 1.
The special forces directed fire from a missile unit of the Defense Forces at the Russian Buk-M2 and the radar. Professional adjustments and precise fire destruction led to the destruction of the Russian target.
As is known, the Buk-M2 air defense system is used to destroy aircraft, tactical ballistic and aircraft missiles, surface and ground targets.
Let us recall that operators of the 73rd Maritime Special Operations Center using a drone discovered the Russian Osa anti-aircraft missile system, which the enemy used against the Defense Forces. Special Operations Forces fighters adjusted fire from the HIMARS MLRS at a hostile target.
