The new generation of “Sea Baby” has received a more powerful warhead – the UAV is capable of carrying up to 850 kg of explosives, and not 108 kg, as before. These drones also use the best communication systems, each costing over $300,000. And the body is made from a material invisible to radars and is used in many other innovative solutions. This is stated in the article “Ukrainian Pravda”.
Sea Baby is also equipped with flamethrower systems, allowing for naval combat. A video released by the media shows Security Service drones firing at boats of Russians who jumped out of one of the military ports of occupied Crimea to sink the drones. The “Sea Babies” did not run away, but turned around and gave battle to the enemy.
It is noted that the new SeaBaby hit the Crimean Bridge on July 17, 2023.
Today the SBU operates SeaBaby drones. These are new and more advanced generations of marine drones. No private companies are involved in this development. A team of professional SBU employees, engineers, IT specialists and military sailors is working on it,” emphasized the head of the special service, Vasily Malyuk.
Let us recall that in 2023, “sea babies” hit 10 Russian ships in the Black Sea: the Samum and Pavel Derzhavin rocket carriers, the SIG tanker, the Olenegorsk Gornyak landing ship, the large military tug Nikolai Mur and the latest hydrographic reconnaissance ship “Vladimir Kozitsky”.
