The minimum wage and cost of living in Ukraine have increased since January 1.

Since the beginning of 2024, the minimum wage in Ukraine has increased from 6.7 thousand UAH to 7.1 thousand UAH. The hourly minimum wage increased to 42.6 UAH. From April 1, the minimum wage will increase to UAH 8 thousand. This is provided for by the law “On the State Budget for 2024,” which came into force today.
In addition, with the beginning of the new year, the cost of living in Ukraine also increased – the overall figure increased from UAH 2,589 to UAH 2,920.
The law provides that for children under six years of age the cost of living is now 2 thousand 563 UAH, for children from six to 18 years old – 3 thousand 196 UAH, for able-bodied persons – 3 thousand 23 UAH. The living wage for persons who have lost their ability to work is now 2 thousand 361 UAH.
Let us remind you that on December 29, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmigal said that pensions, salaries of teachers and doctors will be paid on time in the future. They promised to increase the minimum pension in Ukraine in January 2024 from 2 thousand 93 to 2 thousand 361 UAH.
