The corresponding video was shown by journalist Andrey Tsaplienko.
The Christmas tree stands on both sides of the highway along which Ukrainian units often travel to Chasov Yar on the front line.
This is a Christmas tree in Konstantinovka, on the way to the Ukrainian positions, on the way as our guys go to Chasov Yar. Instead of toys and gifts, there are things of wounded and dead soldiers on it. This is a tree of our pain, it is about how difficult this year has been. This tree is about what tens of thousands of Ukrainian families are praying for, who want their husbands, wives, and children to return home safe and sound.
At the same time, this is the tree of our dreams, this is the tree of what we have been waiting for since 2024. We expect victory and think that people who gave and are giving their lives for Ukraine are fighting to ensure that life in this country is clean, bright, peaceful, and happy. And for Ukraine to exist,” Tsaplienko commented on what he saw in Konstantinovka.
