The companies involved won 23 tenders for the supply of clothing to the Ministry of Defense for the Armed Forces of Ukraine for more than 1.5 billion hryvnias, but many contracts remained unfulfilled.
The Pechersky District Court of Kyiv chose a preventive measure for a Lviv businessman who was detained while trying to bribe an official of the Main Investigation Department of the State Bureau of Investigation. The bureau reported this on Saturday, December 30.
It is indicated that the businessman was arrested, and the amount of bail determined by the court is more than 429 million hryvnias.
DBR recalled that the companies involved won 23 tenders for the supply of clothing to the Ministry of Defense for the Armed Forces of Ukraine for more than 1.5 billion Hryvnia, but many contracts remained unfulfilled. At the same time, some contracts were not completed in full or at high prices. The amount of damage, according to preliminary estimates, is more than 1 billion hryvnia.
A few months ago, the bureau initiated criminal proceedings regarding transactions related to the purchase of clothing and linen for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As you know, on December 29, a businessman was detained who offered a DBI official 500 thousand dollars for help in returning property seized as part of criminal proceedings. Now the businessman faces up to eight years in prison.
