During Russia’s massive attack on Ukraine, Polish airspace was violated by a Russian missile on Friday, December 29.
Warsaw “will be more harsh with more provocations involving the violation of its airspace.” This was announced on Friday, December 29, by Deputy Foreign Minister Wladyslaw Teofil Bartoszewski after a meeting with Charge d’Affaires of the Russian Federation Andrei Ordash, reports the portal WPolityce.pl.
According to the deputy head of the Polish Foreign Ministry, in a meeting with Ordash, he clarified that “the repetition of such attempts will cause a stronger reaction from the Republic of Poland, because it is a test of our effectiveness and our defense strategy.”
“I can assure you that we can respond quickly and effectively if this happens again. I told the Charge d’Affaires that the Russian Federation has stopped testing our state’s borders,” he added.
Bartoszewski made it clear that in the future, if the Russian missile “flies a little further into Polish territory, it will be shot down.”
“We have a well-trained army, good commanders and an impressive Minister of National Defense, and we will do everything to ensure that Poland’s security is significantly enhanced by 2024,” the official assured.
He added that the Polish Foreign Ministry issued a note to the Charge d’Affaires of the Russian Federation demanding an explanation for the violation of the country’s airspace by a Russian missile.
Informed sources told Polish media that it could be a Russian missile of the Kh-101 or Kh-22 type. According to them, the missile crossed the territory of Poland at a distance of about 30 km from the border to the interior of the country.
Polish President Andrzej Duda discussed with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg violations of Polish airspace during the Russian missile attack on Ukraine.
Let’s remember that in Poland they recorded the appearance of an “unknown object” that flew from the territory of Ukraine during a massive missile attack by the Russian Federation.
