Vladimir Zelensky thanked the Vatican for its support. The President mentioned that 80 states have joined the work on the “peace formula”.
President Vladimir Zelensky said he spoke with Pope Francis. He spoke about this in his evening video message on December 28.
“I spoke with His Holiness Pope Francis. I thanked him for wishing Ukraine and Ukrainians a Merry Christmas, for wishing for a just world for all of us,” Zelensky noted.
According to him, during the conversation they discussed joint work on the “peace formula.”
“More than 80 states are already in the process at the level of their representatives – there will be more. I am grateful to the Vatican for supporting our work,” the head of state emphasized.
Let’s recall that at the beginning of December in Kyiv a meeting was held with representatives of the diplomatic corps of different states on the implementation of the peace formula initiated by the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky. Representatives of 83 foreign states and three international organizations joined the discussion of the peace formula.
