This was reported on the Facebook page of the Air Force Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The attack was carried out in two directions:
- Balaklava – occupied Crimea;
- Primorsko-Akhtarsk – Krasnodar region (Russian Federation).
It is noted that a total of 46 Shahed-136/131 launches were recorded, which attacked in waves at different times – from 19.00 on December 26 to 03.50 on December 27. As a result, 32 enemy attack UAVs were destroyed.
Most of the drones that failed to be shot down attacked front-line territories, in particular the Kherson region. Several more UAVs fell without consequences, the Air Force notes.
Air defense operated in Nikolaev, Odessa, Kherson, Dnepropetrovsk, Vinnitsa, Zaporozhye, Khmelnytsky and Kirovograd regions.
Tactical aviation, anti-aircraft missile units and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Defense Forces of Ukraine were involved in repelling the air attack.
