The High Anti-Corruption Court limited the defense side of Supreme Court Judge Vsevolod Knyazev to reviewing the investigation materials until March 1, 2024.
After this, the SAPO prosecutor can draw up and send an indictment to the court. The defense abused the right to familiarization and therefore the NABU detective filed a corresponding petition.
At the beginning of October 2023, the investigation into the Knyazev case was completed.
NABU and SAPO completed an investigation into the case on suspicion of the former chairman, judge of the Supreme Court Vsevolod Knyazev, of receiving $2.7 million. unlawful benefit from oligarch Konstantin Zhevago The defense opened the investigation materials.
At the same time, another suspect in the case, lawyer Oleg Goretsky, agreed with the investigation. He admitted his guilt. His charges under Art. 368 (receiving unlawful benefits) under Art. 369 (providing unlawful benefits) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Materials on oligarch Konstantin Zhevago were also separated into separate proceedings. There, the investigation ends on October 16, but the investigation into the case has been suspended due to the search for Zhevago and international cooperation.
On Christmas Eve, the court again reduced the bail of former Chairman of the Supreme Court Vsevolod Knyazev, suspected of bribery.
The HACS Appeals Chamber left him in custody until February 2, 2024, but reduced his bail from UAH 27 million to UAH 20 million.
Knyazev’s bail amount has been “cut” for the sixth time. In May it amounted to 107.3 million UAH, and at the end of the month – 75 million. In September, the court reduced the amount to 55, at the end of September – to 45, in October to 35, and at the beginning of December – to 27 million UAH
