Stockholm plans to support Kyiv with artillery shells and increase its own reserves.

Sweden needs to buy artillery ammunition for itself and for shipping to Ukraine – the capacity of factories must increase. This is what Swedish Defense Minister Paul Johnson said, reports SVT Nyheter.

“We have a good installation archerbut they are irrelevant if there is no ammunition for shooting,” he noted.

According to him, Sweden should support Ukraine with artillery ammunition and increase its own reserves.

At the same time, he called it a difficult situation.

Currently, work is underway to conclude an agreement that will give the Swedish side access to the necessary ammunition.

According to the Nammo manufacturer, in defense factories in Sweden, the supply period for ammunition is up to six years.

As we have already written, the commander of the Swedish army, General Mikael Büden, said that he is waiting for political decisions on the Gripen fighters. Ukraine can receive them, although the main aircraft is the F-16.

In addition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces presented the Swedish Archer self-propelled gun at the front for the first time. These powerful installations are transferred to Ukraine free of charge.
