On Christmas night, our soldiers shot down not only about 30 suicide bombers and several missiles, but also two more Russian missiles, the president said.
The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky congratulated Ukrainians on Christmas, thanked each and everyone who brought victory over the enemy closer, and emphasized that the Christmas victories of the defenders of Ukraine set the mood for next year.
“Christmas Eve during the war. Our soldiers shot down not only about 30 suicide bombers and several missiles, but also two more Russian missiles. In just one week, the terrorists had minus 5 aircraft. This Christmas sets the right mood for the whole next year – the mood of our capabilities. Opportunities in negotiations with partners. Opportunities in strengthening our air shield. Opportunities in protecting our home from Russian terrorists. The stronger our air defense, the fewer Russian demons in our skies and on our land,” the president stressed.
Zelensky thanked the fighters for shooting at enemy targets.
“I thank all our soldiers for their precision and strength! Thank you to each one who, both on Christmas and on weekdays, takes care of the defense of our state, resisting enemy attacks and showing of inflexibility, wherever he is: in the east and the south or on the borders of our country, in combat and in positions, saving and treating people. All our emergency services. All those who help . Thanks to everyone! Merry Christmas, dear Ukrainians, Ukrainians! the whole next year will be brighter for us,” said the president’s holiday message.
We remind you that 68% of Ukrainians plan to donate part of their Christmas and New Year’s budget to charity. Of these, 86% will assist the frontline defenders.
