Every fifth resident of France, Romania and Germany considered Ukraine, not Russia, to be guilty of the war. In Italy, as many as 27% of people have this opinion.

In Europe, they prefer the establishment of peace in Ukraine than the restoration of justice. This is confirmed by the results of a recent study by the European Council on Foreign Relations.

Thus, 35% of Europeans want “peace in Ukraine as soon as possible,” and 22% want “justice at any cost,” that is, war to a successful end.

Europeans were also divided over the question of who was to blame for the continuation of the war in Ukraine.

So, in Finland, Sweden, Britain, Poland, Spain, Portugal, most blame Russia for the war.

While in Romania, France and Germany, approximately 20% of respondents tend to blame Ukraine for the conflict.

Similar opinions about the causes of the war in Italy. There, there is a record 27% of respondents tend to blame Ukraine. The same opinion is shared by 20% of residents in France, Romania and Germany. In other countries, there are 5-10% of such people.

We will remind, the French leader Emmanuel Macron said that Ukraine needs to negotiate with the Russian Federation.

Earlier, Macron said that there was no need to embarrass Russia in order to end the war in Ukraine, it could be released into isolation.

In response, Polish President Andrzej Duda recalled that during World War II, no one attempted to “save the face” of Adolf Hitler and did not think about helping him avoid embarrassment.
