A man has warned emergency services that he wants a repeat of the deadly shooting that took place at Charles University in Prague last week.

In Slovakia, police arrested a 64-year-old man who threatened to repeat a massacre similar to the one in Prague in the Czech Republic. BBC News reported this on Sunday, December 24.

The detainee himself is said to have called the emergency line and said he intended to “do what happened in Prague.”

“After receiving the message, we immediately started an investigation, as a result of which we detained the suspect,” said Zuzana Shefcikova, spokeswoman for the Žilina regional police.

An investigator from the Zhilinsky district police department opened a criminal case. The man now faces criminal proceedings for spreading the general alarm, which carries a maximum prison sentence of two years.

The Charles University building massacre on December 21 is the most tragic incident in the modern history of the Czech Republic. As a result of the shooting, which was carried out by a 24-year-old student of the Faculty of Philosophy, 14 people were killed.

All those killed were citizens of the Czech Republic; law enforcement agencies did not release their names.

We remind you that the Czech police reported a shooting on the territory of the university, located in Jan Palach Square. Rescuers, ambulances and almost the entire city police arrived at the scene.

According to media reports, the shooter from the University of Prague has been named David Kozak. According to some sources, he was liquidated by law enforcement officers, according to others, he committed suicide.

In Mexico, 12 people were killed in an armed attack at the Salvatierra hotel
