In Ocheretino, a 62-year-old man was injured in air strikes, and in New York, a couple was injured – a 68-year-old husband and his 64-year-old wife.
Russian aggressors shelled the front-line villages of Ocheretino and New York in the Donetsk region. Three civilians were injured, the regional prosecutor’s office reported on Sunday, December 24.
“The Russian army focused its attention on villages where there were no military facilities. According to preliminary data, the invaders used guided aerial bombs against civilians,” the report said.
So, in Ocheretino, during an airstrike in a private sector, a 62-year-old man, driving a car along one of the streets, suffered thigh wounds and a mine explosion injury.
Two more civilians were injured as a result of the enemy attack on New York City. The victims – a 68-year-old man and his 64-year-old wife – were in the yard when the explosion happened next to them. The couple reached neighbors, who called an ambulance to the scene. The victims were found to have shrapnel wounds.
The explosions also damaged and destroyed residential buildings, fences and outbuildings.
A pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings was opened regarding violations of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
We remind you that on December 23, after heavy shooting, five power engineers working at the DTEK thermal power plant in the front-line region were injured. The victims were taken to the hospital.
