As of the morning of December 23, four directions continue to be blocked on the Polish-Ukrainian border. There are more than 4 thousand trucks in the queue. Among the blocked directions: “Rava – Russkaya – Grebennoe”, “Krakovets – Korcheva”, “Shegini – Medika”, “Yagodin – Dorogusk”. Press Secretary of the State Border Service of Ukraine Andrey Demchenko stated this during the telethon.
According to him, in particular, 1,200-1,500 trucks previously moved at the Yagodin-Dorogusk checkpoint, but today the number of trucks varies from 120 to 150, which is almost 10 times less.
Demchenko noted that the Poles are allowing cars and buses through.
Let us remind you that on November 6, dozens of Polish carriers began blocking border crossings from Ukraine. Polish drivers are demanding the introduction of commercial permits for Ukrainian companies to transport goods, with the exception of humanitarian aid and supplies for the Ukrainian military. Protesters said they would end the blockade if the EU renewed Ukraine’s transport permits.
And on December 22, the Ministry of Reconstruction, together with the new leadership of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Poland, agreed on an action plan to unblock the border.
