The NSDC Secretary noted that the mobilization of the number of people announced by the President of Ukraine will take more than a month.
The mobilization of an additional 500 thousand Ukrainians, announced by President Vladimir Zelensky, will not take place in the near future. This was said by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Alexey Danilov on Ukrainian Radio.
The official said that military personnel currently on the front line need rest.
“For this, we must have additional military personnel, but this does not mean that it must happen in a month or two. This is the vision of the military for the next year. What the final decision will be known after approval of some regulations and strategic documents that are now under development. Therefore, there is no need to shout now that tomorrow all 500 thousand have to be summoned,” explained the NSDC Secretary.
The NSDC Secretary also mentioned that every soldier should be provided with suitable protective gear, clothing, food, and monetary allowances.
“All this is provided in the funds of our tax payers, so we must understand that it is the responsibility of each one and people of military age, who should not avoid and run abroad from mobilization. What is happening now in some cities, when nightclubs, casinos, bars … We are at war and I want everyone to understand that this is a common cause, everyone’s job to participate in repelling the aggressor: those who can – directly in front, and those doing business – paying taxes. It will be very difficult for us to maintain this situation, this aggression”, – summed up Danilov.
As we have already written, according to President Vladimir Zelensky, the military received a proposal to mobilize an additional 450-500 thousand people.
