Patrushev warned dictator Vladimir Putin that relying on the leader of the PPK “Wagner” and his mercenaries in the war with Ukraine gives Prigozhin more and more influence and poses a threat to the Kremlin. When Prigozhin started a rebellion, Patrushev saw this as an opportunity to get rid of “Putin’s cook” forever. This was reported by The Wall Street Journal, citing sources in the intelligence services.
After the Wagner uprising, Patrushev began developing a murder plan. The operation to destroy leader Wagner lasted two months. Dictator Putin was shown these plans, but he did not object to the murder of Prigozhin.
It is noted that on August 23, the head of the Wagnerites waited at Sheremetyevo airport while his plane was checked and prepared for departure. Just at that moment a small bomb was planted under the wing.
It exploded half an hour after takeoff at an altitude of approximately 8 thousand 500 m. All nine people on board were killed. The Kremlin denies involvement in Prigozhin’s murder.
Let us recall that the authorities of the Russian Federation refused to allow international structures to investigate the plane crash in which businessman and leader of the gangster PPK “Wagner” Evgeniy Prigozhin died.
