The Russian Federation continues to storm Avdeevka in the Donetsk region. In the Kherson region, the Defense Forces are expanding their bridgehead, pushing back the invaders.
99 military clashes were recorded on the front during the day. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on December 21.
It was noted that the aviation of the Defense Forces attacked 16 areas where personnel, weapons and military equipment are concentrated, and the Russian anti-aircraft missile system. Also, the X-59 guided missile was destroyed by Ukrainian air defense forces and means.
Rocket force units hit 5 areas where enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment, ammunition and 6 artillery pieces were concentrated.
In total, the enemy launched 5 missiles and 68 air strikes, carried out 88 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems on the positions of our troops and populated areas. There have been civilian deaths and injuries as a result of terrorist attacks in Russia. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.
Air strikes were carried out in: Sinkovka, Kharkov region; Serebryansky forestry, Lugansk region; Ivanovskoe, Toretsk, Ocheretino, Orlovka, Novobakhmutovka, Avdeevka, Novomikhailovka, Novoukrainka, Donetsk region; Orekhov, Zaporozhye region; Krynki and Olgovka, Kherson region.
About 100 settlements of Chernigov, Sumy, Kharkov, Lugansk, Donetsk, Zaporozhye Kherson and Nikolaev regions came under artillery fire.
According to the General Staff, in the directions of Volyn and Polesie the operational situation remains without significant changes.
We remind you that on the night of December 21, the air defense shot down 34 out of 35 Russian attack UAVs launched in different directions.
As reported, the Russian aggressors advanced up to 2 km in some areas of the Avdeevsky direction since the beginning of October.
