The Ukrainian Armed Forces have repelled more than 80 Russian attacks

99 military clashes were recorded on the front during the day. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on December 21.

It was noted that the aviation of the Defense Forces attacked 16 areas where personnel, weapons and military equipment are concentrated, and the Russian anti-aircraft missile system. Also, the X-59 guided missile was destroyed by Ukrainian air defense forces and means.

Rocket force units hit 5 areas where enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment, ammunition and 6 artillery pieces were concentrated.

In total, the enemy launched 5 missiles and 68 air strikes, carried out 88 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems on the positions of our troops and populated areas. There have been civilian deaths and injuries as a result of terrorist attacks in Russia. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

Air strikes were carried out in: Sinkovka, Kharkov region; Serebryansky forestry, Lugansk region; Ivanovskoe, Toretsk, Ocheretino, Orlovka, Novobakhmutovka, Avdeevka, Novomikhailovka, Novoukrainka, Donetsk region; Orekhov, Zaporozhye region; Krynki and Olgovka, Kherson region.

About 100 settlements of Chernigov, Sumy, Kharkov, Lugansk, Donetsk, Zaporozhye Kherson and Nikolaev regions came under artillery fire.

According to the General Staff, in the directions of Volyn and Polesie the operational situation remains without significant changes.

In the direction of Avdeevsky The defenders of Ukraine continue to hold back the enemy, not abandoning attempts to cordon off Avdiivka. Our warriors firmly held the defense, inflicting heavy losses on the invaders. The defense forces repelled 14 enemy attacks in the areas of Novokalinovoe, east of Novobakhmutovka, Avdeevka, and another 22 attacks near Severny, Pervomaisky and Nevelsk, Donetsk region.

Directed by Maryinsky The defense forces continue to hold back the Russians in the areas of Marinka, Pobeda and Novomikhailovka in the Donetsk region, where our defenders repelled 10 attacks.

In the direction of Shakhtarsky the enemy did not take offensive actions (attack).

In the direction of Zaporozhye Defense forces repelled 6 Russian attacks west of Verbovoy and south of Robotinoy, Zaporozhye region.

In the direction of Melitopol Ukrainian soldiers continue to actively inflict damage on the occupying forces in manpower and equipment, depleting the enemy along the entire front line.

In the direction of Kherson Defense forces are continuing with steps to expand the bridgehead. Despite the setbacks, the enemy did not abandon his intention to dislodge our units from their positions and carried out more than 30 unsuccessful offensive operations. He received a well-deserved rebuff and retreated with defeats. Our defenders were conducting a counter-battery battle, bringing fire to the rear of the Russians.

We remind you that on the night of December 21, the air defense shot down 34 out of 35 Russian attack UAVs launched in different directions.
