The Television and Radio Broadcasting Commission opened an administrative case against the broadcaster of listening programs based on control protocols.
The Armenian regulatory authority suspended for 30 days the activities of the Tospa company, which rebroadcasts the Sputnik Armenia program. News.am reported this on Wednesday, December 20.
As a result of monitoring the recording of the listened program Sputnik Armenia, a violation of Armenian law was recorded.
“During the broadcast of the program “Friday with Tigran Keosayan” on November 17, 2023, broadcast by the Sputnik Armenia program, the author and host of the program mentioned the Republic of Armenia and its people in derisive and insulting terms term. the program, calls to action were broadcast, which is prohibited by Armenian law,” the message said.
Based on the control protocols, the commission opened an administrative case against the broadcaster of listening programs.
Tospa also received a fine of 500 thousand drams (about 45 thousand hryvnia – ed.) for the broadcast of former deputy Arman Abovyan, in which he “spread panic and statements based on unverified and unreliable sources .”
Editor-in-chief of the state media holding Russia Today Margarita Simonyan, who is Keosayan’s wife, responded to the license suspension with the following words: “A drama worth 500 thousand drams. Efendi (“Mr.” – ed. ) hurt again.”
Despite the sanctions, Russian propaganda sites Russia Today and Sputnik continue to operate in the European Union using mirror platforms and blocked resources.
