The press service of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine reported this today, December 20.
It is noted that the Ministry of Health will distribute these ambulances to those regions that most need special transport for medical evacuation and assistance.
Today, the first batch of 14 ambulances has already been delivered to Ukraine. The “fast” ones being transferred are equipped with oxygen cylinders, cardiac monitors, defibrillators, electrocardiographs and ventilators.
They can be used to save a person in case of cardiogenic shock, provide assistance during childbirth, resuscitate patients, provide general anesthesia, and perform primary surgical treatment of wounds. This is exactly what our doctors need in the difficult conditions in which Ukraine finds itself,” emphasized the Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko.
Lyashko noted that the Ukrainian medical infrastructure very often becomes a target for the enemy.
More than 480 ambulances have so far been damaged, destroyed or captured. That is why regular replenishment of emergency vehicle fleets is very important in order to provide people with timely medical assistance,” the minister emphasized.
