The head of one of the regional TCC and SP and three of his subordinates provided those liable for military service with a full package of services for exemption from military service. The illegal scheme was exposed by employees of the State Bureau of Investigation, the department reported on December 20.
It turned out that the military was registering drug addicts in the same area of the city where the TCC is located. Subsequently, the men registered and provided falsified medical documents to undergo a military medical commission with subsequent release from military service.
Law enforcement officials established that during 2022-2023, more than 300 people avoided conscription in this way. For fictitious certificates, the men paid the military man and his men 2-3 thousand dollars.
DBR employees have already conducted searches at the places of residence and work of officials. Investigative actions are ongoing in criminal proceedings under articles of evasion of conscription for military service during mobilization and evasion of military service under martial law (part 2 of article 28, article 336, part 4 of article 409 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The perpetrators face up to 10 years in prison.
Let us remind you that in the Kyiv region a scheme involving evaders was exposed. Law enforcement officers found out that in one of the TCCs they created a scheme of unprecedented scale, through which at least 100 drug dodgers were able to leave. The cost of the “service” ranged from 6 to 10 thousand dollars. per person depending on the starting package of documents.
