The man will be imprisoned for the first year of his sentence, and in subsequent years – in a maximum security colony.
In the Russian city of Krasnodar, 19-year-old Ilya Mironichev was found guilty of committing “sabotage” on a railway and implicating a minor in the commission of the crime. He was sentenced to 11.5 years in prison. This was reported by the press service of the courts of the Krasnodar Territory, RosSMI reported.
According to the verdict, the man will be imprisoned in the first year of his sentence, and in the following years – in a maximum security colony.
It is known that the incident happened in May. The 19-year-old defendant in the case allegedly received an offer via messenger to earn 10 thousand rubles and set fire to the relay cabinet of Russian Railways in the village of Agronom near Krasnodar. He invited his minor acquaintance to do it together, dividing the money in half. The minor’s duty is to watch so no one notices them and record the arson on video. Because of this, the convict opened the relay cabinet with a hammer and screwdriver, doused it with lighter fluid and set it on fire. The defendant was later taken into custody.
We remind you that in Russia charges have been brought against 137 people for rail sabotage.
The Russian FSB also reportedly detained a resident of the Tyumen region for allegedly “providing financial assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.” The special service also took a 21-year-old resident of the Kaliningrad region, who earlier this year organized arson at transport facilities in 15 regions of Russia.
