It was noted that last week a trade mission from the United Kingdom, which includes representatives of the government and defense industry, visited Ukraine for the first time. The mission took place under the auspices of the Ministry of Business and the Ministry of Defense on December 13-14 and was a continuation of discussions at the DSEI defense industry exhibition in London about a possible collaboration between the companies British and Ukrainian.
British and Ukrainian officials talked with representatives of the defense industry of both countries about the possibilities of long-term cooperation.
As a result of the meetings, a series of agreements were signed.
In particular, the British company Babcock received a three-year contract from the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense to service mine-resistant vessels in Cherkassy and Chernihiv. Before this, a company office was created in Ukraine.
BAE Systems and AMS Integrated Solutions Ltd have signed an agreement that will allow direct special support for Ukrainian artillery systems on the territory of Ukraine. In particular, the artillery transferred by Britain will be repaired and maintained at AMS centers in Ukraine, where Ukrainian specialists work.
