Protest organizers plan to allow only one truck per hour through. Moreover, they are located a few kilometers from the Polish checkpoint Dorogusk.
Polish carriers again blocked the passage of trucks at the Dorogusk-Yagodin checkpoint. The State Border Service of Ukraine reported this on Monday, December 18.
“Today, after 15:00 (Kyiv time), Polish transporters started a protest movement on the roads leading to the Dorogusk-Yagodin checkpoint. Information about its beginning was received from the Border Guard of the Republic of Poland,” the message said.
Protest organizers plan to allow only one truck per hour through. They promise to allow buses, vehicles carrying safe, humanitarian cargo, animals and perishable foods.
Border guards indicate that over the past week there has been an increase in the number of trucks passing through the Yagodin checkpoint. In the last 24 hours, 1,100 trucks were processed at this checkpoint.
In turn, the spokesman of the State Border Service Andrey Demchenko in the commentary Ukrainian Facts clarified that the participants in this blockade are actually located a few kilometers from the Polish checkpoint Dorogusk. They restrict the movement of trucks in both directions – both to and from Ukraine.
We remind you that on Monday, December 11, it was possible to unblock the Yagodin-Dorogusk checkpoint thanks to the decision of local authorities in Poland. But on December 15, it became known that the Polish carriers had received permission to continue the protests.
