Special service investigators opened criminal proceedings under Art. 359 part 2 (illegal acquisition, sale or use of special technical means of obtaining information) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The wiretap was found not directly in Zaluzhny’s office, but in one of the rooms that could be used by him for work in the future. The SBU press center reported this.
According to preliminary data, the detected device was inoperative. Experts did not find any means of storing information or means of remote transmission of audio recordings. The wiretap was sent for examination.
Meanwhile, journalist Yuri Butusov reported on Facebook that a listening device was also found on Zaluzhny’s personal assistant. According to his information, all personnel who had access to the headquarters offices are undergoing a polygraph.
Let us remind you that on December 17, the media reported that devices for reading information were found in the office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny. Military sources said that the detected wiretap was made from elements of an unknown type, which does not allow the installer to be identified.
