Starting today, a compensation system will be launched for trips due to forced transfers at the Lybidskaya metro station. The trip costs no more than 8 hryvnias.
Kievans who were forced to transfer to buses or trolleybuses due to the closure of six stations of the “blue” metro line will receive compensation starting today, December 18. This is reported by Kievpasstrans.
It was noted that from now on a compensation system will be launched for trips due to forced transfers at the Lybidskaya metro station. The trip costs no more than 8 hryvnias. The compensation will be valid while the repairs between Demeevskaya and Lybidskaya stations continue.
“The cost will remain the same as before the Blue Line repair. The city will pay for travel on temporary routes No. 2-M, 60, 43-K and additional metro trips on the Blue Line,” the message said.
Compensation is valid for plastic and digital cards and QR tickets made from trips. The card must be validated at ground transport and meters at each transfer, as usual. Trips for forced transfer will be returned to the card the next day.
For example, if you take bus 2-M from Teremki to Lybidskaya, and then take the metro in the center, then one of the two trips spent will be returned to the card. This system will work even if two or three forced transfers are made. However, for the compensation to work, the travel time must not exceed two hours.
We remind you that train traffic between Demeevskaya and Teremki metro stations in Kyiv is closed during the haulage tunnel repair. The restrictions will last for six months.
