The Finnish Central Criminal Police is requesting the arrest of Russian citizen Vojislav Torden (aka Jan Petrovsky, nickname Slavyan) on suspicion of committing war crimes in Ukraine in 2014-2015. Yle reported it.
The Finnish publication states that the meeting to arrest Petrovsky will take place on Monday, December 18, in the afternoon.
According to Deputy Prosecutor General Jukka Rappe, the investigation will take place in Finland, because according to the decision of the Supreme Court, Torden cannot be extradited to Ukraine.
Thorden has denied all allegations.
We remind you that the Russian militant Jan Petrovsky (Vojislav Torden), who was released from a Finnish prison on Friday, December 8, despite Ukraine’s request to extradite him, was detained by border guards of Finnish.
Previously reported to be one of the leaders of the neo-Nazi group Rusich, which has been fighting in Ukraine since 2014, Petrovsky is suspected of committing terrorist crimes in Ukraine’s Donetsk and Lugansk regions in 2014-2015. In August he was detained in Finland.
Later, the Russian neo-Nazis refused to fight in Ukraine due to the fact that the Russian Foreign Ministry did not demand the release of Petrovsky.
