Local publics initially reported the explosions in the city. Subsequently, a video appeared online in which flashes were visible in the sky and the sounds of explosions were heard. Representatives of the regional authorities explained the situation by the work of air defense. Four drones were allegedly shot down. This was announced by the Governor of the Kursk Region Roman Starovoyt.
The Ministry of Defense of the aggressor country, Russia, traditionally blamed Ukraine and stated that the UAV raid took place at 17:30 local time.

Let us recall that on October 18, SBU drones attacked a military camp of the Russian Armed Forces near the Khalino airfield in the Kursk region. At least 18 hits were recorded on the camp, which housed up to 3 thousand Russian troops and about 80 units of military equipment.
